Privacy Policy
Version 1, effective 2027-01-15 · draft pending counsel review
DumpsterFinder LLC ("DumpsterFinder", "we") operates the DumpsterFinder website and apps for people looking for a dumpster rental, and the storefront software used by independent dumpster-rental businesses ("haulers"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is also our Notice at Collection for California residents.
1. Two roles
For the App and for hauler accounts, we are the business (controller). This policy applies in full.
For bookings made on a hauler's storefront, the hauler is the business and we are its service provider. The name, address, phone, email, booking details, photos, scale tickets and messages you give a hauler's storefront are the hauler's records; we process them only on the hauler's instructions to run its storefront, send its messages and keep its evidence. The hauler's own Privacy Notice (linked in its storefront footer) applies, and privacy requests about a booking go to the hauler.
2. What we collect
| Category | Examples | Source | |---|---|---| | Identifiers | name, email, phone, account id | you | | Location | the address or ZIP you search, approximate device location if you allow it, saved addresses | you, your device | | Activity | searches, filters, saved searches, listings viewed, hand-offs to a storefront, reviews you write | your use of the App | | Device and log | IP address, device type, OS, app version, crash reports, request ids | automatically | | Communications | notify-me requests, support emails, SMS consent and opt-out records | you | | Hauler account data | business name, address, EIN where required for messaging registration, team users, billing contact, subscription and invoice history, audit log | the hauler |
We do not collect card numbers. Payments on storefronts are processed by Stripe on the hauler's own account; our subscription fees are processed by Stripe on ours.
3. Why we use it
To run the App (search, compare, save, notify-me, reviews); to run hauler storefronts and admins as the haulers' provider; to send the messages you asked for (notify-me, review invitations only with your separate consent, account messages); to bill haulers; to measure and improve the App; to prevent fraud, scraping and abuse; to comply with law; and, with your consent, for anything else we describe at the time.
4. No sale, no sharing for cross-context advertising
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use third-party advertising trackers in the App. If that ever changes we will add a "Do Not Sell or Share" control before doing so.
5. Who receives it
Service providers under contract (hosting, database, email and SMS delivery, push notifications, maps and address autocomplete, analytics, error monitoring, payments for our own fees); haulers, when you hand off to a storefront (the address and size you searched are passed to prefill the hauler's checkout, nothing else) or write a review; professional advisers; authorities when the law requires; and a successor in a merger or sale under this policy.
6. Retention
App search history and device logs: 12 months. Account data: while the account exists and 30 days after deletion. Notify-me requests: until fulfilled or 24 months. Reviews: while published, then archived. Hauler account, billing, usage and audit records: 7 years for tax and legal purposes. Storefront booking records are retained per the hauler's instructions; the default is 5 years for the hauler's scale-ticket and tax needs, and 90 days after a storefront closes.
7. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account in the App (Account > Delete) or by emailing support@df.159-203-68-13.sslip.io.
- Access, correct, delete, port, or limit your information: email support@df.159-203-68-13.sslip.io or use the in-app request form. We verify requests with a one-time code to the email or phone on the account and respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent with written permission. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights.
- Texts: reply STOP to any message; emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email; account and transactional messages continue while you have an account.
- Location: control device permissions in your OS settings.
- Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and other states with privacy laws have the rights those laws provide; where we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our decision.
8. Children
The App is not for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Security
Tenant isolation enforced in the database, encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access, audit logging, and vendor contracts. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at support@df.159-203-68-13.sslip.io if you find a problem.
10. Changes and contact
We will post changes with a new effective date and notify you of material changes. Contact: DumpsterFinder LLC, the mailing address available from support on request, support@df.159-203-68-13.sslip.io.
