What DumpsterFinder is and is not

Version 1, effective 2027-01-15 · draft pending counsel review

You reached this page from a dumpster-rental storefront that runs on DumpsterFinder software. Here is what that means.

What DumpsterFinder is

DumpsterFinder makes software. Independent dumpster-rental businesses use it to publish their own online storefront, show their own prices and terms, take bookings and payments on their own payment account, and send their customers order updates under their own name. DumpsterFinder also runs a public directory where those businesses' published prices can be compared.

What DumpsterFinder is not

  • Not the company you are renting from. The storefront's name, legal entity, phone, email and address are in its footer and on every message it sends you. That business sets the price, delivers and picks up the container, weighs the load, charges your card and issues refunds.
  • Not a party to your rental. Your contract is with the hauler under the hauler's Rental Terms, which you accept at its checkout.
  • Not a payment processor or escrow. Payments go from your card to the hauler's own Stripe account. DumpsterFinder never holds your money and cannot refund, hold or reverse a charge.
  • Not a guarantor, insurer, licensing body or inspector. DumpsterFinder does not vet, screen, certify or endorse haulers, and does not verify licenses, insurance or pricing beyond the facts shown on directory badges.
  • Not paid per sale. Haulers pay DumpsterFinder a flat monthly software subscription. No part of what you pay a hauler goes to DumpsterFinder.

If something goes wrong with a rental

Contact the hauler using the phone and email on your booking page; your booking page also holds the terms you accepted, delivery and pickup photos, the scale ticket if there was a weight charge, and your messages. If you disagree with a charge, you can dispute it with your card issuer against the hauler's charge.

When to contact DumpsterFinder

If a storefront is impersonating a business, if you suspect payment fraud, or if you see illegal content, report it to support@df.159-203-68-13.sslip.io or with the "Report this storefront" link. We review every report within one business day and suspend storefronts for verified impersonation or fraud. We do not mediate service disputes and do not rate haulers on service quality.
